When you have excellent photographer friends, you find a few extra reasons for photo sessions. While attempting to figure out the never ending “what should I wear?” question, I royally destroyed my closet. We’re talking half of what I own off hangers, carelessly strewn across the bed into one large, unruly pile. This rarely happens, since I streamline my mornings by picking out what I’m going to wear the night before. But every once in a blue moon I’ll go nuts trying on different combinations, and the following mess ensues.
But two good things came of this mess (three actually, if you count figuring out the what to wear question):
- This is my encouragement to gather my wits and finish the rest of “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up”. My hope is that if I actually finish the book my life will become magically tidied.
- It’s also a moment to capture the temporary beauty – all of the color, texture, pattern, and shine (thank you, Stacy and Clinton) look rather pretty mixed together. It’s rare that I’ll stop in the middle of making a mess to appreciate the beauty that is there.
So, here are some details of my pretty little mess. I’ll clean this up soon, but maybe in the next mess I’ll be quicker to look for the temporary beauty.
