Today sort of slipped right by me, a blissful combination of puppy naps and errands and cramming chemistry down the throats of my students. And all of the sudden it’s dark outside and I haven’t blogged, perhaps a sign of a day well done.
And because as I type, my wonderful husband is preparing our evening meal, I’ll leave you with this quote from Bread & Wine, by Shauna Niequist (a great read and recipe book)
The heart of hospitality is about creating space for someone to feel seen and heard and loved. It’s about declaring your table a safe zone, a place of warmth and nourishment. Part of that, then, is honoring the way God made our bodies, and feeding them in ways they need to be fed.
Love well and eat well, dear friends.
