31 Days of Restoration // Day 5

There are so many gems in Paul’s letter to the Philippians, but this is one of my favorites. The “all” here that Paul considers a loss refers not only to his material belongings, but all of his qualities that he formerly held as high credentials. Instead of clinging to any sort of glory he might find in his own self, Paul embraced fully what it is to know the Lord, and finds peace, strength, and identity there. And that’s the truest form of beauty – that found in Christ alone.
