Well folks, I’ve entered my twenty-fifth year of life. There were crabs and cake and lots of good friends, which really, could a girl ask for more?
During the ever-awkward singing of happy birthday (where are you supposed to look? at the cake? the crowd? can we all agree that it’s weird to be sung to?) I looked around at the people singing and I was just so darn thankful. Quality time is absolutely my love language, and the simple act of these friends showing up and enjoying cake with me was the best birthday gift I could ever ask for.
We’ve completely nestled into our new place, and successfully hosted family a mere two weeks after moving. Momma bear and Johnny flew in the day after my birthday, where we enjoyed two days of shopping and good food, complete with an impromptu trip to Annapolis and a missed flight.
To wrap up the birthday month festivities, I’m headed to Nashville this weekend to visit my grandparents and my study abroad bestie (two years, how has it been so long?!). Nashville, here I come!
