((This post is from a year ago today, when I was on Day 2 of my first 31 Days challenge – 31 Days of Thankfulness. I couldn’t have said it better myself.))
I am thankful for
a husband my husband.
You see, I didn’t really need a husband. I was raised by two very independent people and I felt confident in my own ability to take care of myself. I never thought I would get married at the ripe old age of twenty-one. And then I met Joe. It wasn’t love at first sight, but it was friendship at first conversation. And our love grew out of that. I didn’t need a husband, but I wanted him, to spend the rest of my life by his side. We chose each other, and every day I am so thankful for his love and support, his patience and his humor, his faith and his silliness. He’s pretty stellar.
