The One with Renoir and Michelangelo

So I’ve added some new wall embellishments to the apartment, and have been eyeing a few (dozen) things/recipes that I’ve found across the interwebs, and thought I’d share!

I bought a similar calendar when I visited the Musee d’Orsay, and decided to use the pages for a mini-installation in the apartment. I might frame my favorites and just display those, but for now all 12 images are up, creepy child clowns and all.

Can we just pause for a second and appreciate that this is wrapping paper? I stumbled across a whole slew of these Cavallini wrapping papers in a boutique here in Charlottesville, and couldn’t walk away without a couple of these gems. Again, something I will probably frame later, but for now it’s hanging out over the desk.

I made this baked popcorn chicken this week, and oh my good gracious, it was delicious. Joe is a huge fan. The man is a popcorn chicken fiend.

Homemade Kettle Corn – stay with me on this one, because it’s worth it, I promise. I’m something of a kettle corn purist, it must be fresh and preferably from the farmer’s market in Charleston. But, making it on my own stove is pretty rad. I cut this recipe in half (and ate it all by myself for dinner), and as a note – don’t turn your stove down to low after added the popcorn. You don’t want that. I’d say start with the heat on medium-high, then turn down a notch or two once you add the kernels. Aside from that, be generous with the salt, and you’ve got some pretty stellar kettle corn in the comfort of your own home.

Let’s talk about knuckle rings (or just about how I want one or five). At first i thought it was weird. But with the right combination and nail polish, I sort of love them. I never take off any of my rings, so I’m not sure how well a knuckle ring would stay on. I guess I might have to grab a couple and report back to you. (and on the link – drooling over the tiny evil eye)

I will have this David bust on a bookshelf in my home someday, it’s pretty much non-negotiable. I think that’s enough said, right?
