Today I am thankful for new beginnings.
Think about it, we get to start over so often, a new day, a new week, a new month. Yesterday’s mishaps don’t roll over into today. I get a fresh, clean start, and that’s a beautiful thing. This month I hope to focus on being thankful, and hopefully this will seep into other areas of my life, allowing me to move on from things holding me back and really focus on where I’m going and not where I used to be. That’s kind of a big one for me. I spent a lot of my last semester of college wishing I was somewhere else (Copenhagen). And while I enjoyed my last semester at Wofford, there was a good chunk of time where I wasn’t really present. Right now I am in Charlottesville, and I am very thankful for that, because it means 1) I get to have a fall and 2) Joe and I get to have our very first adventure together in a new city. New beginnings are good. And the beginning of the month means that our budget started over on https://www.mint.com/ and we get to try again. Yay for new beginnings and being fiscally responsible!
